Counseling for veterans, service members & military families

Get back to who you were
before you got lost.

Honest, plainspoken therapy for the people who carry military life. I'm an Army veteran and a twenty-year military spouse, so I get it, and I'll tell you the truth.

About Misty

I've lived the life you're carrying.

I'm Misty Priddy, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I spent a year and a half in the Army and twenty years as a military spouse, so I know what deployments, moves, and coming home actually do to a person and a family.

My work is honest and plainspoken. I'm not going to sugarcoat things or hand you a worksheet and call it healing. What I can do is meet you where you are, tell you the truth, and help you get back to feeling like yourself again.

Who I Help

For people carrying military life.

The majority of my clients already carry the weight of service in some form. If that's you or your family, you're in the right place.

Three silhouetted soldiers salute, overlaid with a transparent American flag, with a bright sun setting in the background.

Veterans & Service Members

For those who served and are working through what came home with them. Trauma, transition, relationships, and finding steady ground again.

A service member in uniform stands at the front door of a home with his wife and daughter, who holds a small American flag. All three are smiling.

Military Spouses & Family Members

For the individual spouse or family member finding their own footing through deployments, moves, and the strain that military life puts on the people at home.

A person in camouflage and another with light pink nails hold hands, one gently grasping the other’s fingers.

Caregivers

For the people caring for a wounded or struggling service member, carrying a load nobody sees. Your well-being matters too.

How It Works

Starting is simpler than you think.

Three steps. No pressure. No guessing what comes next.

A free 10-minute call

We talk, no pressure and no cost. You get a feel for how I work, and we figure out together whether I'm the right fit. If I'm not, I'll tell you and point you toward someone who is.

Your first session

We meet by secure video while you're in one of the four states I'm licensed in, or in person at my Louisville office. You tell me what's going on, and we start sorting through it.

Ongoing support

We keep meeting on a schedule that works for your life, moving at your pace toward feeling like yourself again.

Before You Book

Not sure about any of this? Watch this first.

Reaching out is the hardest part, and most people put it off far longer than they should. So before you book a thing, here's a quick hello from me. In about 60 seconds you'll know exactly what our first call is like.

No digging into your worst day, no performance. Just a conversation, and honestly, we usually laugh a little.

Services

Therapy for the parts you can't keep carrying alone.

One-on-one counseling, plus premarital sessions, by secure video or in person in Louisville.

Individual Counseling

One-on-one support for trauma, anxiety, transition, and everything that comes with carrying military life.

Premarital Counseling

Talk honestly before marriage, not after everything is already on fire. Build the foundation that carries you through whatever comes next.

Client Story

From someone who sat where you are.

I have seen Misty since 2020, and it's hard to describe Misty in one word. She is kind, genuine, awesome, encouraging, and cares about her clients.

She really listens to what I share with her, and she makes me feel valued and important. She never rushes me and always makes sure I know I can take my time and that her office is a safe place, where I can talk about anything and everything. She uses great techniques that work for me to help work through things, and she can do the same for you.
